HONOR X9d Survives a 20-Foot Drop Without a Crack, Sets Guinness World Record
To prove the durability of the HONOR X9d, HONOR has set a new Guinness World Record — the phone survived a drop from over 6 meters (20+ feet) without a single crack.
To prove the remarkable toughness of their latest HONOR X9d smartphone, HONOR has secured a new "highest drop without cracking" Guinness World Record. The HONOR X9d survived a drop from 6.133 meters (over 20 feet) without any cracking, earning the phone its title as an "unbreakable AI smartphone" and setting a new benchmark in the industry.
The HONOR X9 series is already well-known for reliability and durability. Previously, the HONOR Magic V5 set a record by withstanding 104 kilograms of weight, while in the Philippines, 264 HONOR X9c units were simultaneously thrown and not one of them cracked. The HONOR X9d now builds on that legacy by combining modern components and AI technology to set an even higher standard.
The phone is also the first smartphone to earn both the SGS Triple-Resistant Premium Performance Certification and the SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification. Thanks to six protective layers and HONOR's Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop technology, you won't need to worry even if it falls onto marble floors or rough asphalt.
It also features IP69K water and dust resistance, can withstand submersion in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, and can even take photos at depths of up to 6 meters. It handles everything from heavy rain to temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C.
HONOR CEO Fred Zhou said the record reflects their commitment to quality and innovation, and their desire to put genuinely valuable products in the hands of consumers.
