As artificial intelligence (AI) technology advances rapidly in China, it is expected that over 100,000 humanoid robots will be produced by 2026.

This information was shared by Kan Shaozong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, during a press conference.

Currently, the adoption rate of AI technology in major industrial enterprises has reached over 30 percent, and this is accelerating the robotics manufacturing sector even further.

Additionally, China's government-backed National AI Industrial Investment Fund is providing support to encourage more foreign investment in this sector.

These latest technological advancements will be showcased at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), which will be held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20.

The event is expected to feature over 1,100 exhibition booths and more than 3,000 exhibits, with over 300 products being unveiled to the world for the first time.
