Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision have jointly opened China's first large-scale humanoid robot factory in Guangdong Province, with an annual capacity of up to 10,000 units.

The facility's production rate is remarkable: one humanoid robot rolls off the line every 30 minutes, passing through 24 production stages and 77 quality checks. A smart digital manufacturing system allows the line to switch between different robot models without stopping, giving the factory flexible output without sacrificing throughput.

Before leaving the factory, each robot undergoes an additional 41 real-world condition tests to verify performance. Autonomous guided vehicles and integrated control systems ensure the entire production process is both fast and highly reliable.

China's humanoid robotics race is intensifying, with rivals Agibot, UBTECH, and Unitree also ramping up aggressively. Some companies are targeting sub-$20,000 price points per unit, while others are investing upwards of $580 million to reach 75,000 units per year — signalling that mass-market humanoid robots could arrive sooner than expected.
