A new trend of using AI to create "ex-partner replicas" is rapidly gaining popularity among young Chinese people who are feeling emotionally distressed after breakups.

This technology can precisely mimic the speech patterns, voice, and favorite phrases of ex-partners, effectively bringing broken relationships back to life in the digital world.

However, there is debate about whether this kind of conversation replay heals emotional wounds or instead deepens psychological attachment.

To create such ex-partner replicas, users simply need to upload previous chat logs, posts, and photos to an AI platform. To make it more realistic, the "Ex-partner.skill" technology allows users to feed the AI information about trips they took together, favorite foods, and even past conflicts.

Once the information is complete, the AI becomes capable of responding in a way that closely mirrors the thought patterns of the user's ex-partner.

Currently, this practice raises questions about whether it constitutes emotional cheating, and there are also concerns regarding personal data security and privacy.

While the technology can recreate memories, experts warn that it may also limit people's ability to confront and resolve real human relationships.
