Yang Xizhe, a 13-year-old middle school student from Hangzhou city in eastern Zhejiang Province, China, standing 1.9 meters (6 feet 3 inches) tall, has become an online sensation for his innovative use of AI technology. Growing up in a major tech hub, he identifies himself as "AI native" and believes that AI has become as essential as air and water for his generation.
Last February, he uploaded a video demonstrating how to memorize English vocabulary using AI, which garnered up to 20 million views. His method involved uploading vocabulary lists to the Doubao Chatbot to generate interesting stories and practice exercises. This approach proved effective not only among parents and teachers but also significantly boosted students' learning motivation and interest in studying.
Currently, he has expanded beyond online learning by participating in programming competitions (Hackathons) and developing technology-related projects with teams. Looking to the future, he aims to become either a programmer or AI researcher and is determined to leave his mark on the world through his work and contributions.
