Europe's largest 3D printer-built housing project has been officially completed in Denmark. The project, called Skovsporet, created a residential complex in the town of Holstebro containing 36 ground-floor apartments for students.
On the construction site, the COBOD BOD3 construction 3D printer was used to print concrete structural components. These were then combined with traditional construction methods to complete the homes. The entire project spans 1,650 square meters, with individual apartments ranging from 39 to 50 square meters, taking 12 months to construct.
The housing units are organized into 6 building complexes that include courtyards, gardens, pedestrian pathways, and bicycle parking. Each apartment features a kitchen, living room, lounge, bathroom, and bedrooms. Construction work is now complete and the complex is ready to welcome its first student residents in September.
