Meta Company has launched a new search system called AI Mode in the United States that can search for answers from public posts on Facebook, Reels videos, and Marketplace listings.

Instead of just displaying website links like before, this system uses Meta AI to gather information from the social network and provide direct answers in a question-and-answer format.

The newly released AI Mode will be integrated into Facebook's regular Search Bar, and it will be able to perform functions such as recommending items from Marketplace, extracting insights from Group discussions, and searching for Reels videos.

Additionally, Meta is planning to further expand AI-specific subscription plans within this year, including Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus, as well as Meta One Plus and Meta One Premium.

However, there are criticisms that this new AI system will provide answers based on posts from ordinary users who have not been verified on the social network, which increases the likelihood of misinformation being included.

On the other hand, there are still ongoing controversies regarding the lack of clear guidelines on intellectual property rights and personal data security in places where user posts are used for AI training.
