Google has now expanded the Gemini chatbot, which first launched in the Chrome browser in America, to Asia-Pacific countries including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. After introducing it in Canada, India, and New Zealand earlier this year, Google has made this additional expansion. Except for Japan, users in the remaining countries will be able to use Gemini on desktop browsers as well as on iPhone and iPad.
The usage is very simple—just click the "Ask Gemini" icon located in the upper right corner of the browser. From the sidebar that appears, you can ask questions about the tabs you have open, or use Nano Banana 2, Google's famous image generator, to create images. Additionally, since Gemini is connected with other Google apps, you can perform tasks like adding schedules to Calendar without having to leave Chrome.
If you don't want to see the Gemini icon in your browser, you can simply right-click on the shortcut and "unpin" it to hide it. This new feature is designed to help users complete their daily tasks within a single browser. Now, most users in the Asia region using Chrome will be able to easily access Gemini's assistance.
