Google is enabling Gemini users to generate AI images without visible watermarks. This feature will be available for Google AI Ultra members and images created through Google AI Studio, while free and Pro users will continue to see visible watermarks on their generated images.
However, Google will not remove the invisible watermark that indicates AI creation. Images created or edited with Google AI will continue to include SynthID, an invisible digital watermark designed to distinguish AI-generated content.
This change will allow professional creators to obtain cleaner images without the Gemini logo, while Google can still identify and track AI-generated content through SynthID technology.
Additionally, Google has introduced new tools that can verify whether SynthID is present in images, videos, and audio content.
