Google Translate, which started in 2006, has now reached its 20th anniversary. Currently, it supports nearly 250 languages that can be used by approximately 95% of the world's population, with over a billion monthly active users. Among these, English to Spanish translation is the most common, and the phrase "Thank you" is known to be the most frequently translated phrase back and forth.

To commemorate this 20th anniversary, Google has introduced the "Pronunciation Practice" feature, which is one of the most requested features by users. Currently, Android users in the United States and India can start using it for English, Spanish, and Hindi languages. This system uses AI to evaluate the user's pronunciation and immediately provide suggestions on how to improve it.

Additionally, Google is combining AI to more accurately interpret difficult idioms, regional dialects, and the meanings of sentences. Google states that users are utilizing this practice feature in exercises to be able to speak naturally and confidently in real-world situations where they would need to actually communicate in the outside world.
