Honor has officially launched the X80i in China, making it the world's first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6500 chipset. The octa-core processor promises a noticeable jump in performance over its predecessor.
The display is a 6.6-inch 1200×2600 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits — bright enough to remain visible in direct sunlight. The phone also carries an IP66 rating for splash and dust protection. Camera hardware includes a 50MP main sensor and a secondary rear shooter.
The headline spec is the 7,000mAh battery, which Honor says can power 22 hours of continuous video playback. A 45W fast charger is included in the box. Software is MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, with Honor's AI suite built in.
The X80i is available in Black, Green, Pink, and White, starting at ¥1,999 (approximately $290). Shipping begins April 10th.
