Bad news has emerged for those eagerly awaiting the upcoming iPhone Duo. According to renowned analyst Jeff Pu's estimates, acquiring the iPhone Duo from the market by the end of 2026 will not be as easy as anticipated.
While production was previously expected to reach around 7 million units, it will now only amount to approximately 6 million units, according to Pu. The reduction in quantity is not due to lower demand, but rather stems from difficulties in manufacturing the hinge—the most critical component of foldable phones.
In comparison, Apple is expected to sell up to 72 million units combined of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max this year. Therefore, if you genuinely want to own this iPhone Duo, which will have significantly limited production this year, you should be prepared to make a purchase as soon as pre-orders begin on October 16th.
