Aiming to replace smartphones, Meta Company has launched a new AI device called Meta Charm that can be easily carried in your hand. This device, which is about the size of an Apple AirPods case, will feature a 2-inch touchscreen and 5G system, and sales will begin during the December holiday season. Additionally, the advanced Muse AI system is integrated into the smart glasses series, enabling users to perform shopping and appointment booking tasks within seconds with just voice commands.
For tech enthusiasts, Meta has also introduced a surprising new VR glasses priced at $1,299. Since it weighs as much as a ream of paper, installation is much lighter and more comfortable compared to previous heavy headsets. This glasses, which can be customized with distance, sound, and hand and foot gestures, is planned to launch in early summer 2027. At the same time, Ray-Ban Meta Audio smart glasses that can use audio exclusively without a camera to address privacy concerns will launch on October 13 at $349.
Concerns remain about recording audio on camera-free smart glasses without others' consent, as these devices still have audio capture capabilities. However, Meta responds that the audio system is the most popular feature among smart glasses users, and by removing the camera, they were able to make the design thinner and extend battery life up to 12 hours.
