Some companies in China are pressuring workers to transfer their professional expertise to AI so that their jobs can be replaced by AI. According to MIT Technology Review, workers are being forced to provide detailed records of how they work and make decisions, which are then used to train AI agents.
New technologies like Colleague Skill and OpenClaw are analyzing workers' chat groups and personal records, generating detailed "manuals" for each work task. Amberley, a worker in Shanghai, says "this technology is frighteningly advanced." AI can now replicate people's speech patterns, communication methods, and behavioral characteristics in fine detail.
As a result, workers concerned about job losses are beginning to fight back. Workers like Koki Xu are developing and deploying counter-technologies to disrupt AI learning. While companies are pushing hard for automation to maximize profits, workers find themselves in a situation where they must hand over their knowledge to AI, essentially replacing themselves.
