Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has warned that if the new AI model (DeepSeek V4) that Chinese company DeepSeek is set to release soon runs fully on Huawei chips, it could have very serious consequences for the United States.

The main concern is that global AI systems could shift away from dependence on American technology towards Chinese technology, which could weaken America's leadership position.

The DeepSeek V4 model set to be released later this month is being prepared to run primarily on Huawei's Ascend chips rather than Nvidia's chips as before. This represents the first major departure from the American technology ecosystem.

While Huawei's chips still lag somewhat behind American-made ones in terms of performance, China is trying to overcome this weakness through new methods such as combining multiple chips and creating more efficient software solutions.

Currently, the AI technology competition is no longer about hardware performance alone, but rather depends on who can control software efficiency and the technology ecosystem.

China's advantages include having strong AI talent and cheap electricity, which are beneficial to them.

If DeepSeek succeeds with Huawei chips, it could represent a turning point for the global AI world and could even change who becomes the leader in the coming years.
