Nvidia, the company that has dominated the AI chip world, saw its stock price hit a record high last Saturday, and the company's total market value surpassed an astonishing US$5 trillion (5 followed by 12 zeros).

Since the end of 2022, the stock price has surged more than 14 times, and this is because major tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Meta are aggressively purchasing Nvidia's chips.

This sharp rise in stock prices is also partly due to Intel's improved revenue conditions, which has invigorated the entire technology market.

Intel's stock price jumped 24 percent, reaching its highest level in 39 years, while competitor stocks from AMD and Qualcomm also rose accordingly.

Although tech investors turned away from the technology sector when oil prices surged due to the Iran conflict, investors are now returning to tech stocks due to the momentum of AI technology.

The Nasdaq index has also risen up to 15 percent in April and is expected to become the best month in 6 years. However, for Nvidia, the situation is not entirely smooth sailing.

Their major customer Alphabet (Google) is preparing to challenge Nvidia with its own in-house AI chips, so the upcoming chip war in the technology world is set to become even more exciting.
