OnlyFans' late founder Leonard Ravdin generated over $700 million in profit distributions before his death from cancer at age 43. Remarkably, OnlyFans' parent company Fenix International, despite having only 47 employees, achieved pre-tax profits of up to $714 million in the previous year, representing a 5% increase from 2024.

After Ravdin passed away on March 23, the company is now owned by his wife, Ekaterina Katya Chuprinova. The platform, which takes a 20% cut of creator earnings, rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic and reached record growth in 2025, with subscriber numbers reaching 132 million and creators totaling 2.5 million.

Despite these successes, the platform has faced major regulatory scrutiny, including issues involving minors accessing adult content. It also received a £1 million fine from the UK regulator. However, OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair responded by stating that the company has paid creators over $30 billion over the past decade and contributed over £600 million in corporation tax to the UK government.
