Citizens and residents of Malta have an exciting opportunity to use ChatGPT Plus, valued at USD 20 per month, completely free for one full year. OpenAI and the Maltese government have partnered to launch the "AI for All" initiative starting in May. However, to receive this gift, beneficiaries must first complete an AI fundamentals course organized by the University of Malta, which will provide free training on how to apply AI technology in daily life and the workplace.
To participate in this initiative, applicants must have a European Union digital ID (eID), and Maltese citizens residing abroad are also eligible to participate. Malta's Digital Innovation Authority will be responsible for providing qualifying individuals with account access.
