Apple's newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max smartphones are experiencing abnormal speaker sounds, according to user complaints. While Apple released an iOS 27.0.1 update to fix a Face ID bug that was causing the phone to unlock on its own, the speaker issue remains unresolved.
According to affected users, crackling sounds, clicking noises, or distorted static-like sounds are emanating from the earpiece speaker at the top of the device. Some users experience the abnormal sounds consistently, while others notice them only when using applications, browsing websites, making calls, or adjusting screen brightness.
The issue has been so frustrating that some users who replaced their devices with new units are experiencing the same problem on their replacement phones. It remains unclear whether the issue is software-related or caused by a hardware defect, and Apple has not yet issued any official statement clarifying the matter.
