A uniquely distinctive humanoid robot, officially registered as a Turkish citizen, attended a municipal council meeting and answered questions from council members. The robot, named CANIKMAN, officially participated as a representative at the opening session of the Canakkale Municipal Council held in Çanakkale on May 5th.
During the meeting, CANIKMAN interacted with officials, listened to discussions, and answered questions from council members like a person would. In meeting photographs, CANIKMAN was seen standing in front of council members, walking around the chamber, and sitting alongside officials during voting proceedings. This demonstrates the extent to which AI's role will be involved in future governance systems.
