Google Awards CEO Sundar Pichai a $692 Million Compensation Package

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has received a new compensation package potentially worth up to $692 million. The three-year agreement will make him one of the highest-paid executives in the world, though most of the pay is tied to the performance of businesses like Waymo and Wing.
Interestingly, compared to Google's founders, Pichai generates relatively little public attention. Larry Page and Sergey Brin — the world's second and fourth wealthiest individuals, respectively — are currently making headlines for a very different reason.
Both of them are rushing to buy high-value real estate in Miami in order to avoid a proposed California billionaire tax. Page spent over $173 million on two homes in Florida, while Brin purchased a $51 million mansion and had previously bought two more properties worth $92 million combined.
While the founders are relocating, Pichai continues to live in Los Altos, California. He is also a billionaire, and since Google's market value has grown nearly sevenfold since 2015, his own shares have grown enormously in value — he and his wife currently own shares worth nearly $500 million.
